Cannot choose what song to listen to???

I downloaded Spotify on my Ipod just a few days ago, and cannot play individual songs. It only gives me the option to "shuffle."  On my brother's iphone, he's using free (never started a free trial for premium), he can pick any individual song. What is going on? If it turns out I can't actually pick the song I actually want to listen to I'll just have to ditch this app-too annoying for me if that is the case.

Hi there!

Unfortunately, your borther must have started a free trial unknowingly or unknowingly has a subscription to Spotify Premium. Non-PCs or tablets do not have permission to listen to any song on demand. You are permitted to stream a specific artist or playlist though; however, you'll have to listen to the playlist or artist via shuffle mode only.

I apologize about this miscommunication but this is how it has been set up.

Ok, I was thinking that might be the case. Oh well...I'll just stick withh using Spotify on my laptop, then. Thanks for the input.

I'm having the problem of being unable to select my next song (can only shuffle) except that I just bought a premium account! Why can't I choose individual songs if i'm premium??

Try logging out of the Spotify app, and then logging back in.

Sometimes it take a little while for the premium to activate when you subscribe to premium.
