Canot log into Ipad app

i'm a premisum member and i cannot log into my ipad app.  it tells me it cannot merge with my facebook account.  I have a user id and also a password.  I cant even log in using my facebook because there is no option to do this.

How strange! According to our database, your account should be working just fine. So selecting the "Log in with Facebook" option doesn't work for you?

I'm also having a problem getting into my iPad app.  It takes me into the screen to either log into Facebook (which I did) or login with Spotify.  I didn't have a problem using it yesterday so I don't know why I can't go into it today.

Hey marcfy- I can confirm your account is fine on our end too. 

Exactly what error messages/ codes are you receiving when you select sign in with Facebook? Are you able to use your Facebook email address/ password to log into the Spotify website successfully?

I still can't get into Spotify on my iPad.  I'm not getting any error messages/codes when I click on "Login with Facebook", it just doesn't give me an option to type my email/password.  All I get is it takes me to a Spotify screen.

marycf - Do you have the Facebook app on your iPad at all? Generally those login with Facebook options go through the Facebook application, rather than requesting the email and password.

Thank you for your help.  I wanted to make sure everything was okay before I responded back.  I'm happy to say I'm able to get into Spotify on my iPad and listen to my music.

I was going thru Safari and typing into Facebook's website. It didn't dawn on me to install the Facebook app until you mentioned it because I was always able to get into Spotify.  What's interesting is that I haven't had any issues until the May 2 update where I encountered another problem but was fixed a few days later.  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that I don't run into any more problems.

I have a Premium account.

My iPad asks for Log In for Spotify when at work.

I have no Internet access at work, so I cannot log in and I cannot listen to any music.

How can I fix this little problem?

You don't have any internet connection at work for the iPad? If you wish to listen to music where no network is available, you would need to sync your favorite playlists offline at home. Offline playlists are available for playing without a network connection.

@postiivesoul - Neo-x is right, you'll need to sync some playlists for offline use to listen without internet. 

Logging in should also not be a problem without an connection. Just use your FB email /password as normal. 

However, I do also recommend making sure you've installed our latest iOS udpate (0.5.4).

I did select Offline on the 4 or 5 playlists I wanted to listen to.

They did in deed "download"

There is that little green arrow.

I did test the iPad before I left home by going offline and then playing the playlists.

The problem is, when at work Spotify suddenly wants me to Log In to the App before I can use it.

That is when logging in with my Facebook is not possible, because I'm offline.

And furthermore, I don't even know if I have a "Spotify" log in name or password, I always just used Facebook.

Are you saying that although I am offline, when promted by Spotify to "log in" that I should just type in my Facebook log in information and it will log on? Without any Internet? I did not try that!

It should cache the credentials. Since if you are abroad, and have offline playlists, it should be able to play them without the connection. Thats why Offline playlists are.

Hi Corybone - How's that working for you now? It seems you had two accounts on our system but I've just removed that extra one. 

Please just be sure to login with your 'corybone' username.

I have a similar problem. I am a premium user, can use spotify on iphone and pc but can't log into ipad using my facebook creditials. I have the facebook app installed on my ipad and that works fine. I am using Australian ipad but in Japan, is there any problems with that? Tried some of the solutions referenced in the forum but they don't seem to work

Hi RP1999 - I've just done a bit maintenance to your account. Please restart the app and give that another go. 

If you're still having trouble please let me know exactly which error codes/ message are appearing.

Unfortunately it still does not work. There are no error messages. The spotify app is just loading (circle keeps rotating). i have the lastest OIS installed and confirmed my internet connection is working

Can you help me. This is getting rather frustrating. My iPad login just hangs, with the circle "rotating" and no error codes. I am at a dead-end and am not sure where to go next
