My Question or Issue
As of the update to version 8.8.**bleep** 4 days ago, my car no longer displays any of the song information (track title, artist, etc). It's just a default black screen for my car. When I skip a track ahead it shows the display that it's skipping the track # (ie track 😎 but no information. To see what song is playing or any information I now have to look down at my phone. There seems to be no button in the app to push to bring the CarPlay display back to my car's information screen.
Honda CRV 2017. The display used to work fine.
Version 8.8. six nine is the version updated to. It censored the version number for some reason. It also changed 8 to an emoji.

Thanks for reaching out. Try reinstalling Spotify and disconnecting and reconnecting your account and see if that makes a difference. If the issue persists, please send us some photos of the behaviour so we can investigate further.

Hi Joan! I did as you suggested this morning and reinstalled and unlinked and delinked my phone to my car this morning - unfortunately it did not fix the issue. (I did end up resetting my cars settings too just in case something had happened to mess up the link, but no) I will attach two photos I took of my screen this morning after relinking my device - the first photo is just the blank screen it used to display on and the second photo is what displays when I change tracks. The third is a screenshot of my phone when I was doing this. If there’s anything else you need please let me know.

Due to security reasons we are not able to open imgur links. Could you share a Google Drive link with the photos in it?

Could you try with a different phone to check if the same happens? If yes, could you try with a different car unit with your phone?
However, it's possible that after the update, your device is no longer compatible with the app. In that case, make sure to always keep the app up to date with the latest version, so you don't miss out any fixes and improvements, but keep in mind that we can't guarantee when or if this will be fixed.

I only have 1 phone and 1 laptop, so I cannot try from another device.
I hope the engineers who make the app fix it so people who drive Honda CRV can use spotify on their screen again, then. 😞
