Crashes shuts down when I search a artist

Hi when I search a artist on Spotify . With the new update my device shuts down . It just instantly turns strait off on my I pod touch series 6 and my I phone 6s plus. I have the latest update it worked fine earlier today . I can't use my pc as it's broken . As soon as I type the artist name it's fine but when I click on the artist it shuts down . I pay for premium . If I can't resolve this problem I will switch to Apple Music . I'm devastated . All I have is music and I can't use it . I can use my old saved songs . But it's not fair I can't search new music . I tried a uninstall and reinstall it failed . Is this a technical issue or am I going to have to switch to apple ?

Of course it's working after I delete my entire library. Of course it **bleep**ing is.

Can someone please tell me if they are experiencing this to me it's really worrying me . I just want to know if it's a technical issue that will be fixed or if it's something else

Yes this is happening on my iPad as well. Strange since it was fine yesterday after the update but suddenly had this problem today. 

Thanks fir letting me know it's not just me . I just want to listen to some music and it's not letting me I even reinstalled and lost all my downloaded content . I'm devastated .

Welcome to the club. I deleted the app and reinstalled to find all of my downloaded playlists gone. Probably going to cancel after this mess. Unacceptable. Who pushes live without running unit tests? Do they even have unit tests?

It seems to be working now I am so confused by this . When you pay money for a service you expect it to be better than this

Tried with three different accounts and three different IoS devices (iphone 6, 5 and ipad) and crashes every time. Re-installed the app, no help. Version is 8.4.9

It just started working for me know I just can't understand what there issue is. It feels like I'm just copping it . Now I've lost ages hours worth of downloads .

I'll bet they updated their iOS/other apps API calls and pushed the update before their web servers had enough time to propogate the new APIs. Amateurs.

Something is definitely wrong I just can see through this . I'm glad it's working thank u for the support but honestly what I do wish is that my artist page was normal . It got messed up and I don't know how to fix it something with my computer settings and when I click on artist it does not say the name of the album it just lists a big pile of songs ? Does any one know how to fix this when I fix my computer? Or when I fix my computer should I start a new thread ?

Same problem here: as soon as I try to acces an artist (via search, album, song ...) the app crashes. Very frustrating. Happens on both iPhone and iPad, but not on Android (Samsung S4 mini).

 

Technical info for the Spotify people:

iPhone 5s (A1457): Spotify v 8.4.9.721, iOS v 10.3.2

iPad Air 2 (A1567): Spotify v 8.4.8.467, iOS v 10.3.2
