My Question or Issue

In my home, i have a MacBook that i have connected to my stereo system. It remains in place and i pretty much only use it for playing music. I have an instance of Spotify up on it. On my iPhone, if i want music to play through the stereo, i connect to the Spotify on my MacBook.

i rarely wake up that laptop. I believe the algorithmically curated playlists (release radar, discover weekly, daily…) get out of sync… if i try to play songs from one on my phone, which are up to date, and if the version loaded on the Spotify on the laptop has not been refreshed, i cannot play the song. Tapping on it on my phone will do nothing. Sometimes, hitting play on a playlist might play music, but i think it’s playing the OLD version of that playlist. If i then log in to the laptop, and poke at Spotify, it seems to refresh and everything works fine. 

perhaps if it could periodically refresh without interaction, that would get around this issue
