I reorganised custom order in one of my playlist on Win10 laptop while using desktop spotify. I mass selected some song and dragged them where i needed them. After that songs in that playlist in iphone app are all mixed up, as if i mass selected and dragged by a couple of songs off than i intended to. I tried to re-sync the app with the laptop but it didn’t work, reinstalling the app also didn’t work.
Hey there @omashu,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
Would you mind letting us know if your playlists are organized in folders? If so, we can confirm that currently it's not possible to sort playlists inside a folder with the custom order in the mobile app.
If they aren't, could you let us know if you've followed these steps to set the custom order?
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hi @omashu,
Thanks for getting back to us.
In this case, we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app on both devices following these specific steps. This process is more thorough than the usual one.
If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us a screenshot of your playlist order in the desktop app and in the mobile app? Make sure not to send any private info.
Also, we'd like to know if you're able to see the "Custom order" option in the sorting options.
We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
Yeah, it didn't work unfortunately 😞 Pic 1 is from the app, its the end of the playlist and those songs are not supposed to be there. Pic 2 is from the desktop version, also the end of the same playlist, in correct order. Pic 3 is somewhere in the middle of the playlist, where songs from the first pic are supposed to be. Both versions are filtered by custom order. I thought for a second that i just didn't sync them, but then the order in the app just wouldn't change at all. As it appears, the songs that were reordered on desktop are the only ones in weird places in app
Hi again @omashu,
Thanks for keeping in touch and for the screenshots.
Can you try logging out everywhere and then opening both the mobile and desktop apps at the same time and while using the same Internet connection in both devices? Is there any difference?
Keep us in the loop.
Hey there @omashu,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account in your devices and check if the issue persists with a different account?
On another note, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your devices would come in handy.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hi @omashu,
Thank you for getting back!
In this case we suggest you create a new playlist based off the correct order of the songs. From your laptop, mass select all the songs (Ctrl + A), and drag them to a new playlist. Then open the new playlist on your iPhone and check if they show in the correct order.
Just take into account that the new playlist filter will show all the songs with the same Date.
Let us know how this goes.
