Data Saver, video audio only settings are ignored

Turning on data saver, download audio only, and stream audio only does not work. I'm seeing video in podcasts.

Iphone 12 iOS 15.4.1, Spotify app 8.7.20.1724

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

This sounds a bit odd. Can you try performing a clean reinstall of the app, as described in this guide. Make sure you remove all Spotify app data before reinstalling, as corrupt data could be causing these settings to not get applied and saved.

I have this issue and the above is NOT a fix. Spotify is the worst provider on the market. But they scored with JRE so feel they don’t have to work for customers anymore.
