Hi Spotify.
I have noticed that your iOS app is not working correctly in the new iOS 11 update. When I connect to my bluetooth speaker, the music starts to "skip around" (that's what it sounds like anyway), and all of the sudden my connection to my bluetooth device is lost and reconnected after a few seconds. At first I thought it was an OS issue, but now as I have tested both YouTube and "Kokun Radio App" (which is also playable when I'm using other apps or have the phone locked) I have located that the problem is the Spotify app. The problem became apparent when I tried to use my phone to remote control the Sporify app running on my iOS 10.3.3 device - this completely halted the playback. Please fix quickly! Thanks.
SOLVED! I think all you need to do is uninstall the app and then re-installing it.
EDIT: I didn't solve it... It has started to happen again and not only with the Spotify app. I even tried to do a complete reset of the phone and installing every app one at a time to see if it was a specific app, but I think Apple has made a screw-up. Again... Hope they'll fix it soon!
I’m having the same problem since iOS 11 too. I’ve shut the phone on/off and deleted and reinstalled the Spotify app. Nothing has helped get. Ugh.
Same problem here. Tried reinstalling it, resetting the bluetooth connection, rebooting the device. Nothing works. I have an iPhone 6s.
I realized that if I set the "Do not disturb while driving" option to "Manually", the problem goes away. That could help for now.
I had this same issue. It has something to do with your Spotify account being open on multiple devices at the same time. Try closing the app on all devices and only using it on one device at a time. I think it’s an authorization issue.
That does not work either. All devices and app have latest software. Can only access spotify for Sonos via the Sonos app. Can no longer connect to Sonos from the Spotify app from iPad, Iphone or Mac.
Deleted sonos app and reinstalled and solved the problem
I notice that my Bluetooth setting isn’t working properly in my car. When I change the volume, The song stops and the iTunes music plays instead. I can’t even change to the next song on the car control, it has to be done manual. This is a huge bug that needs to be fixed. I updated to iOS 11.01 and to the latest Spotify version this morning and noticed the change.
iOS 11.0.1 didn't solve anything regarding my bluetooth issues either. The playback is still skipping around and dropping out/reconnecting... I'm really upset with crApple and seriously thinking about selling my iphone and going android 😞 😞
I’ve tried setting the option to manually and my playback always stop. I connect my iPhone 7+ via usb cable.
I have exact same problem with car connection over bluetooth. Spotify starts to play 1-2 seconds then music from normal phone memory starts. Ios 11.0.3 and Spotify update from today.
I am having the same problem. Do you think it is because of IOS text message auto reply? Do you think it’s trying to control what we are doing on our phones while we are driving? ie: Application open while driving? The skipping is driving me CRAZY!
Has anyone resolved this? Honestly with all of the software engineers and for what they're being paid this should have been resolved weeks ago. If the error is not fixed before next pay period for Spotify Premium I will be cancelling my account, as I am sure many others will shortly follow this action.
The bluetooth sync issue has become extremely dangerous while driving making the app unusable and my monthly expense a waste.
Please fix this ASAP and let the community know. And yes I have tried everything.
Cheers,
AD
