Download a Playlist

Download a Playlist

I want to download my playlist. It has 65 songs. When I click the download button, the slider becomes green. However, it says, “Waiting to download.” I don't know how to fix this. I have an iPhone 7 running iOS 11.2.5. Someone please help me! Thank you.

Hello @mbwins10,

"Waiting to download" means it is waiting until you are on a secure wifi to download the songs. You can change this in your settings to allow cellular data to download songs.

If that is not the problem then try uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify. This has been known to fix this issue.

Hope this helps. If this was the solution please click Accept Solution.

Hi. I gave the Spotify app permission for cellular data as well as WiFi. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Please help.

Okay,

I've found a workaround that seems to work really well for me. This may only work if you have a computer with an Ethernet jack, but may still work if your Mac is connected to Wifi and doesn't have an ethernet jack.

1. Connect your iPhone to your Mac via USB lightning cable

2. On your Mac, go to System Preferences -> Sharing

3. Select Internet Sharing in the table view to the right

4. Check only iPhone USB for sharing. Mine is using Ethernet, but yours might be able to be Wifi.

5. Check internet sharing and hit start.

I've run into this problem before as well. If you just log out of your device, then log back in, that should fix the problem.
