Downloaded icon not going away when removing song

I'm having a really hard time dealing with offline/downloaded songs in this app. How can I delete individual songs, right now I have to go the artist's album and then flip the download button off, which should in theory delete all the songs from that album. The only option I can find is to unlike them which I don't think is what I want. First of all, I just want to delete ONE song, not the entire album, how can I do that? Secondly, when I DID try to delete the whole album to see what would happen, the green arrow next to the songs still won't go away but the download flip is still off, so I actualy have no idea which songs are or are not downloaded. This is so incredibly frustatring as I have no idea which songs I have or don't have downloaded anymore.
