Downloaded songs in playlist do not appear under Artists section when offline?

I've created a playlist with lots of albums in it of artists that I like to listen to. When I'm offline mode, after going to the Your Library -> Artists section and clicking on an artist that has an album I added to the playlist, none of their songs appear as downloaded. Yet when I go to the playlist itself, the songs are there and downloaded.

The same applies when i go to the Artists section and filter to only downloaded songs, it shows me a really small selection of artists and not all of the artists that I have added albums from to my playlist.

I was hoping I could add a tonne of albums into a single playlist for offline use (mainly so I can just hit shuffle on a huge array of songs) and still access individual albums by using the navigation options in the app itself. Is that not possible?

Same issue here. This disconnect between Artists/Albums/Songs and playlists makes the former useless if you manage a lot of your music using playlists. I can't see clear workaround for it either.
