Google chrome app on iphone stops Spotify playback

Using a new iPhone 6+, latest IOS version installed, downloaded Google Chrome yesterday and have been using it while listening to Spotify app.  Spotify repeatedly just stops while I'm viewing pages in Chrome.  Doesn't happen with any other apps.

Any idea how to fix this?

Happens to me as well. 

Iphone 7. 

Only happens when pages try to load video and audio (CNN.com etc etc)

very annoying having to go back into Spotify and start the song up again. 

There are are no settings that I can see in mobile chrome to stop videos and adds from auto play.
