My Question or Issue

Group sessions disconnect often when you’re browsing the app and/or simultaneously playing songs on your device and/or queuing new tracks and/or skipping ahead with a song or within a playlist.

 

For example, if you’re joined to a group session, then open one of your playlists, click the “Add songs” button at the top, then start playing the previews of recommended songs, the snippets play out the speaker on your local device (not the group session speakers) and then you get disconnected from the group session. This is just one of about half a dozen similar scenarios.

 

Also, if you’re joined to a group session and then search for a song, swipe it, and select “Add to queue”, often it doesn’t get played — it’s simply skipped. This doesn’t happen if I disconnect the group session and repeat the exact same steps (i.e: the songs queues and plays on my local device fine).

 

Please don’t ask me to reinstall the app or update to the latest version. Already done.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community!

 

Thanks for going ahead and trying reinstalling the app. That usually helps fix the most common issues. Just so we're on the same page, make sure to also follow these steps for a clean reinstall, which is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to remove corrupted files that might be causing problems.

 

We also recommend trying with a different connection and let us know how it plays out.

 

If the issue persists, could you let us know if that also happens to any other person that's in the group session? If so, we'd like to know the device(s) and its respective OS version.

This is the same problem that I'm facing.

When i start a group session with my friend, after few minutes one of us get thrown out of the session.

I tried deleting cache files and tried reinstalling and now it's version is up to date but still I'm facing this problem everytime when i start my session with my friend.

 

The phone I'm using is OnePlus 7 pro 

And my plan is duo premium 

 

This is very disappointing for me, i purchased duo premium for me and my girlfriend and we can't listen on sessions 👎

Thanks for the info. Does this happen when making a group session with any other users? If possbile, please send us a video showcasing the exact behaviour.
