How do I get my iPhone6 to sync with spotify and download a playlist for offline use?

I am a premium member. I've been using spotify forever. I can't figure out how to get the offline playlist function to work. This is exactly what I'm doing - Macbook Pro is turned on and wifi is on. iPhone6 is turned on with same wifi on and cellular data turned off. I have the spotify app open on my computer but it doesn't show my phone anywhere like it does in iTunes. On the iPhone6 when I flip the switch on the playlist to be available offline it just says waiting to download and there is a little arrow next to the songs in the playlist that is white in color. It just does this and nothing else. Nothing downloads? What am I missing here? Please help if able! Thanks!

I ended up fixing this by completly deleting all my cache from my mac library. Then I deleted spotify from my applications. I also deleted spotify from my iPhone6. I redownloaded spotify onto both macbook pro and iPhone6 and logged in on the same wifi network with both of them open and the offline playlist downloads now work.
