Firstly, add music files from your desktop to a Spotify playlist. Then...

  1. Log in to Spotify on your iPhone using the same WiFi network as your desktop.
  2. Tap Your Library .
  3. Tap Playlists.
  4. Select the playlist containing your music files.
  5. Switch Download on.
A green arrow will appear next to the tracks when the import is complete.

Hope this helps!!!

it didn't work, it also doesnt even show my songs that are imported through my desktop app on my iphone

Please take note of these things to make sure your are properly doing the process of adding local files:

Add local files to your mobile device

If you’re adding local files to your mobile, you first need to import them on a desktop computer, then add them to a playlist to sync to your phone.

Make sure:

  • You’re logged in to the correct account.
  • Both devices are connected to the same WiFi network.
  • You have the latest version of Spotify installed (on both devices).
  • Your firmware is up-to-date.

Once you’ve checked the above, be sure you’re following the correct process for adding local files.

If you’re syncing with iTunes

To import your iTunes music, ensure that the settings allow you to do so:

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. Head to Preferences.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Tick Share iTunes Library XML with other applications.

Is your file type supported?

Spotify supports .mp3, .mp4, and .m4p files. It doesn’t support .mp4 files that contain video. We’ll do our best to match any unsupported local files with songs from the Spotify catalog.

Some of your tracks may be protected in restricted formats. You can simply download QuickTime to allow most of these tracks to be played on Spotify.

Note: Spotify only supports files downloaded from an official source.
