How to get local file music to download on your iPhone

I recently got spotify and have mostly only added music that I downloaded off of youtube and added in to spotify using local files. I have 2 songs in the playlist that I found on spotify, and those 2 songs downloaded fine after turning the offline playlist setting on. The rest aren't, though. Can I only download songs that were originally on spotify? Thanks!

Hi there!

If you want to make local files on your computer available on the Spotify app on your phone you'll need to follow these steps:

On your computer, go to your Local Files and the the songs you want to a playlist

Open the app on your phone, find that playlist. The local files will be greyed out now so hit the Available Offline button and the songs should start to download on your phone. 

Remember to keep the apps on both your computer and phone running while you do this.
