I can access a Receiver in a different WIFI with Spotify Connect

I can access a Receiver in a different WIFI with Spotify Connect

Last week I was at a friend and I connected my iPhone to his WiFi, playing music on his Pioneer-Receiver.

Now, back in my own flat and my own WiFi, I can still see his receiver and play music on it.

In other words: My Phone is connected to WiFi 1, and I can stream my music via Spotify Connect to the Receiver in WiFi 2.

(As we live about 100km apart, i am pretty sure that I didn't use his network on accident 🙂 )

I consider that as a disturbing thing: Thinking

I lay in my bed, at 5 a.m. a person, previously connected to my network, can now wake me up with music, just because he choose the wrong station to play on - even tho he is not at my place... ?!

Please see attached picture:

On top - my muso, in my own network, right now playing musik

beyong, his pioneer receiver, not in my network, but able to play on (just tested and called him)...

Thanks in advance,

regards,

Chris
