There is a fix with the new Spotify update. From version 8.4.20 it works again in my car as normal. I also use the iOS 11.0.2.

Going through the same **bleep**, tedious beyond belief

Having the same issue in my jeep, will connect my phone to keep through Bluetooth, put on Spotify and it will not come through, my phone shows it’s playing Spotify but it’s not linking up the car or playing any sound. Also my phone is trying to override my using Spotify by defaulting to the downloaded music on my phone. Any suggestions!?

I have a Honda civic 2013 hatchback. It used to work with my iphone 7 plus just fine. Bluetooth and via the IPOD dock.

Spotify seems not to always receive bluetooth events on time or not at all.

My display doesn't always show the song being played now.

Apple's own music player seems to be reacting better.

The ipod dock works fine except when choosing next track via my car audio controlls, it skips one. But using the built in music player of apple it doesn't skip a song.

I don't know if this is a bug in IOS, Spotify or my car or phone bluetooth broke after I upgraded to IOS 11.

I have same problems with playing music and change songs in my toyota iq. Using a normal usb cable and after update doesnt work. With luck Spotify starts the song but the app freeze and nothing shows in the car display as previously. My guess is the iOS 11 compatibility with the Spotify app. So update please!!

After updating to iOS11 Spotify will often fail to play music through USB to my car stereo using a Dension iGateway.

It will instead play the sound through the phone speakers, even though the phone is properly connected and charging.

Since I like listening to music in my car, I‘d appreciate a fix sooner rather than later.

Is there a fix yet? Same issue! iPhone playing Spotify, car recognised music playing - but no sound!

What version of Spotify are you using?

version 8.4.20

The USB issue is still there for Mazda cars. I have a Mazda CX-5, I guess this is happening for every Mazda with Mazda Connect entertainment system.

I’m currently using Spotify version 8.4.20.535. I only can connect audio vía Bluetooth.

Also, before updating iOS when playing music via Bluetooth, I was able to see at least the song and artist name on the car screen. Now I only see “Unknown/Unknown”.

I can confirm, that Spotify isn’t working anymore on Ford Sync 1.1 - at least on iPhone 8+ with 11.1. Previously, on iPhone 6, worked correctly.

Has anyone found a fix yet? Still when I plug in my Iphone8 using the latest IOS & Spotify update the car won’t recognise it or play any sound

Did anyone give solution

im having this problem since iOS update ..... i drive a lot in my job and the radio is killing me 😩

Hi - mine is working now! When I had my new phone it lost all my music I had put onto the phone ITunes. I put some music back on & this triggered Spotify to work when I got into the car
