IPad app is only a radio player? Why?

I am very happy with the Spotify app on my MacBook, so I was happy to see an app for my new iPad. But now I've found that the app only functions as a radio - and only an average one at that. I can't play my several playlists or search for and play specific songs. These are the reasons to have Spotify. I am very disappointed.
Please tell me how to uninstall the Spotify app for iPad.

BobCollins, this could be Because you are using a free Spotify, if you have a Spotify Premium Account, then you would be able to use it for more than radio. to uninstall the app, hold it for 3 seconds till its moving back in forth and press the X button on the upper right corner of the app icon.
