Iphone XS Headphone Dongle Pausing Music

My Question or Issue

Since the iphone does not have a headphone jack i have to use the headphone dongle and once i plug it the music plays for about half a minute then it pauses the music.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Thank you for replying. The problem still persists. The version of spotify is 8.4.78.643. What happens is after i plug the headphone dongle into the iphone it plays for about half a minute and the music stops and a popup is shown on the phone stating "This accesory may not be supported"

What is the dongle you're using? Apple devices are notoriously fussy about which accessories you're using with them. It sounds like an issue with the dongle, not with Spotify.

Have you tried any other media player on your iPhone to see if you have the same issue?

I'd ask the same @jurphy already asked: Was the dongle you're using made by Apple :)?

It could be that the dongle is the issue here.

When you have another adapter for you're mobile phone or just listen to your music without the dongle, does everything work fine then?
