Local files not showing on iPhone

Any local files I've tried to sync from my computer to my iPhone 7 haven't been showing up on my iPhone at all. When I play a song on the desktop, and have Spotify open on the phone, I can see the song, but when I try to play from the phone instead of the computer, it won't. I can add the local songs to a playlist, but they won't show up on the phone. I tried creating a playlist with only a local song, and on the phone I can see the playlist has the song, but when I view the playlist it's empty.

Can you check the info over here? Also, make sure both devices are connected to the same WiFi network.

Hello, 

I am having the same problem as well. The playlist shows the number of songs but when I click and try to play it says "Song Unavailable". I even tried to play on PC first and then change source to Iphone. 

Some help please!

My file shows, but then says it can't be played because I'm off line (even though I've already down loaded it).  It worked fine on my IPhone 6S.  I got a new phone today (IPhone 7) and it no longer works.  I'm SOOOOOOOO frustrated!
