My Question or Issue

Ok so I have been a little bit of a local files warrior for over a year now and I thought I knew may way around them like the back of my hand, but i have recently reached a new hurdle and need some help. A couple of months ago I got a new iPhone, and I think that might be the root of the problem. Basically, all of the local files songs that I had on my old phone, wont stay downloaded on my new one. I have tried removing them all and then redownloading them, but after a while, they just remove themselves and become unplayable again. They will work for a couple of days then all of a sudden they will disappear. It only happens to the songs that were downloaded on my old phone as well, none of the new ones. To put the cherry on top, when I do get them to work, I have to do this weird thing where I have to tap on them a few times before they actually play. I have attached a video of that. If anyone knows a solution i'm all ears 🙂

Thanks,
Nick

Hey @Rick2003,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

We'd recommend that you try logging out and then logging back in twice in a row. This will force a sync between your device and the account.

In case you're still having issues with your local files, you can try performing a reinstall of the app by following this guide. We recommend this step since it gets you the latest app version and removes corrupted data from previous installations that could be causing issues with the app's performance on your phone.

We'd also suggest that you take a look at this FAQ under "Local File not playing?" to double check if those files meet the requirements listed there.

If you're still experiencing this - let us know. We'll be happy to help further.

Cheers!
