Lyric share button not showing up

I have reinstalled and updated my phone and Spotify app, but no matter what I try, I cannot access the lyric sharing feature. I have an apple SE second generation iphone
IOS 16.5
My Spotify is version 8.8.43.436

Thanks for reaching out to the Community! Sorry for the late reply, I just came by your post.

Could you share a screenshot so I can look further into this? If you haven't already, try signing out of your account from the app's Settings > Log out, then log back in. This forces an internal refresh of the app that may help here.

Thank you for the suggestions. I logged out and logged back in to my account, but my lyrics share button is still missing. I attached a screenshot below.

Interesting. The lyrics sharing feature supports only certain destinations like Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories, iMessage, WhatsApp and Snapchat. Are you trying to share the lyrics on one of these platforms? Could you check if you have one of those apps installed on your device?

That could be the problem. I don’t have any of those apps installed. Is is a prerequisite to have these apps to use the lyric share function?

Yep, I'm afraid so @Mu19. You need to have one of those apps installed on your device in order for the lyrics share button to show up.

It's also worth mentioning that our tech folks are testing out different destinations depending on the device's OS, so you or your friend might not see the same options when sharing lyrics.

My Question or Issue

Cannot share lyrics. Sharing button mousing instead there is a microphone button(wasn’t there before)which ch I don’t need.

If the previous troubleshooting didn't work then we would suggest performing a clean uninstall of the app as that would help you start fresh with the app.

A clean uninstall is a more thorough removal of the app than a regular one, you can see steps on how to perform it by following this link.
