Multiple issues experienced with Spotify

Hey everyone,

Out of nowhere, Spotify began having issues on my Iphone 5. First, music would just stop playing around the 1 minute mark. Fastforwarding the song allowed it to play for maybe 30 seconds at most but then the song would mysteriously stop as well. I installed the newest update to see if it would fix it but it didn't. Then, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. No more issues with songs pausing all of a sudden but now, I am unable to make my playlist available offline again. I am able to make playlists Spotify made offline but whenever I go to my playlist and switch on the "available offline" tab, my music just would not sync. Any ideas on how to solve the issue? I am a premium member and my lock button for my Iphone is broken. Just some extra info haha!

Hey Jean,

Haha! Thanks for your help! I did do a clean reinstallation but it did not work. My last resort was to turn off and turn on my phone again. With the lock button broken, I thought the only way I could turn off my iPhone was to let the battery drain out (my friend then taught me that holding down the lock button on the touch assist would initiate the power off function haha). After all the ordeal, Spotify began to work again so that was a relief! Spotify also pushed out another update so my issue should definitely be solved.

Hi @Timchang920809, welcome to the Spotify Community! Let's try to troubleshoot this issue with you. 

 

First of all, please try a clean reinstallation. This can resolve many common issues. 

 

If you're still having trouble after a reinstall, please let us know the following details:

1. Exact Device (e.g. iPhone 5S)

2. Exact operating system (e.g. iOS 8.3)

3. Spotify app version installed (2.2.0)

4. What are you doing when the app skips/ stops/ crashes? Is it when it opens? When scrolling through tracks? When searching? 

5. About how many playlists do you have?
