Multitouch annoyance on iPad

This has annoyed me from day one of the iPad version. In the Now Playing screen you can flip to the next/previous song on the cover.
But the interface should only react to a one-finger touch and not as it is now to multitouch.
The reason for this is that the iPad has an (optional) systemwide 5 finger touch to close an app. When you do that on the Now Playing screen you sometimes accidentally switch to the next or previous song.
