My Question or Issue

My music often won’t play - it happens with different songs at different times. It’s similar to having connectivity issues, but it happens all the time - while I’m connected to my wifi at home, my wifi at work, on my data, whatever. It happens mostly on my phone but I have noticed it on my computer also. I will click on a song or be playing a playlist and all of a sudden the song just won’t play.  It will look like I just started the song, but it will sit like that for hours, saying that it’s not paused but not playing past at 0:00. There are some songs it happens with more often than others, and some that will work fine 99% of the time and just do this every so often. It was pretty rare to begin but it seems like it’s happening more and more and it’s really starting to annoy me, especially since I’m generally a pretty savvy person and I just cannot figure out what’s up. It totally could be some mistake on my end but I have no idea what it could be and it’s been happening for weeks / months. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

 

I first recommend trying a clean reinstall of the app on your affected devices, as this can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

 

If a clean reinstall doesn't resolve this issue, could you ask a friend or family member to log in to their account on your devices and see if the same issue persists?
