My AirPods will disconnect from Spotify while listening.

I have the latest iOS update and have Spotify updated as well. I have disconnected and forgotten my AirPods and reconnected them as well as deleted Spotify and reinstalled it. I see the disconnect happening mainly when I receive a notification on my phone, whether its from an app or a text.

This seems related to this thread. We'd like to ask you to check it out and try the mentioned solution:
On iPhone/iPad > Settings > Devices > Disable: "Devices lock screen".

Hi Vasil - Maybe my iphone is too old (XS) but when I go to Settings>There is nothing that says "Devices" although my AirPods do show up.  Not sure where to find this "Devices Lock Screen" but had my AirPods cut out completely when I went for my run this morning while listening to my downloaded playlist on Spotify. ?  Any suggestions?  Thanks CJ

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.

In this case, we'd like to check: are you looking for this option in your iPhone settings or in the Spotify settings? Keep in mind that you can find it in the Spotify app's settings. You can open the app> go to Settings> Devices> Devices Lock Screen. Disable this option and let us know how it goes.

If the above doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us make/model and OS of the affected device along with the Spotify version you're running there?

Lastly, just to confirm, has the app always been behaving like this or does it start to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? Please send us the details about it.
