My local files on my phone are not downloading/syncing.

My local files on my phone are not downloading/syncing.

It shows they are downloaded on my desktop and allows me to play the local files on my desktop. But when I add them to my iPhone playlist and download the playlist, it does not allow me to play the songs. They are greyed out and it says they need downloaded.

Hi there,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!

I recommend checking out this article for more info on how to sync the local files from your PC over to your iPhone.

Cheers!

My Question or Issue

I created a playlist from local files in my Spotify Desktop app on MacOS Sonoma.

I can play the files through the Spotify MacOS Desktop app.

The playlist will sync from the Mac to my iPhone, but some of the songs are just grayed out and can't be played. All of the songs have the same format AAC (*.m4a). Both devices are connected to the same wifi network.

I also tried different formats like mp3 and flac. Happy to try more if it helps. Familiar with using ffmpeg.
