Not playing in order of playlist

My playlist is not playing in order. It skips around some but mostly goes in reverse order. For example if I am listening to the 8th song on an album it will play the 7th next instead of the 9th. Any ideas how to fix it

Just to check, the shuffle feature is off? If so, is this happening across all your devices? 

Give it a try reinstalling the app and see if you're still experiencing the same issue. Here's how.

You can also try using a different Spotify account.
