Playing songs offline

Playing songs offline

Hi there

If I want to play music offline do I have to disable my mobile data to avoid it streaming? I have synced a playlist and have put the setting in Spotify to 'play offline' but will it still automatically stream the synced songs if the mobile data is switched on?

Hey @jonnybevan-GB! Welcome to the Spotify Community. ^^

Yes, it would use your mobile data.

And if you want to stop using you moblie data, you can check whether syncing over cellular data is disabled.

You can find this option in your settings right here:

Settings > Offline & Sync > Download over 2G/3G. And you should also go into the offline mode. ^^

Peace

Thank you for the reply. I can't find offline and sync in the settings.

So to clarify if I want to listen to music without using my mobile data I will have to switch my mobile data off. Is that right?

@jonnybevan-GB!

Not at all.

Do you see the Offline Mode in your settings ?

You can also take a look at this thread. ^^

Peace
