Playlist current selection lost after playing new songs from Discover/Search

Hi pardon my english but,

While listening to a song in my playlist, I navigated to the Discover/Search/Browse functionality of the mobile app and played a random track/album from the list. The random track starts playing immediately but when I returned to my playlist, it does not show which track I last played and I have to manually recall and try to find it from the list again. 

Is this normal or expected behavior? I am not sure if it happens on the desktop version too because it has the play queue function.

That is normal behaviour unfortunately, once you navigate playback away from a playlist it won't remember your position (which is the same as on desktop).
