Progress bar freezes when viewing lyrics

Progress bar freezes when viewing lyrics

Device: iPhone, Macbook, iPad.

The majority of the time, the progress bar of the song freezes/glitches when viewing lyrics in full screen. It resumes progress when you come out of full screen, but freezes (as if paused) at the moment you go full screen again.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

 

This type of issue is commonly related to some damaged cache stored on your device. In this case, we'd first recommend performing a Clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

 

If the issue persists, would you mind checking if it happens using the Web Player?

 

Lastly, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running. This will give us a better look at the issue.

 

We'll be on the lookout.

Thanks for your response - I’ll reply again once these steps have been taken to give you an update.

 

For reference: iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16.1, Spotify: 8.7.68.568.

This worked! Had a very big cache - obviously hadn't been cleared in a while!
