My Question or Issue
Recently, there was a change to the iOS app which effected the recently played feature. Before the update, tapping an artist on recently played would direct to the songs in my library under that artist, but now it takes me to the artist profile page. If I want to listen to songs I have saved, I now have to find the artist in the artists section which takes much longer. I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but it is annoying to say the least.
In my opinion this change shouldn’t have occurred because it is very easy to navigate to the artist profile page from the recently played prior to the change.

My Question or Issue
Usually when I go into the app on my phone I just scroll down to recently played and click on an artist that i have saved music for. And then i click on the artist and all the specific songs I saved are there to choose from. Now I get brought to that artists page not my saved songs. It makes it a lot harder to find the specific songs that I have saved that used to be so easy to access. I attached a photo of the page I’m brought to now. How can I fix this it’s definitely ruining my music experience
Spotify might've changed some of the options recently for the betterment of the community so here's what you can do, it's not a solution, it's more of a suggestion. Since, you have recently listened to those songs of that artists that means it will readily be shown in your library's liked songs list so you should be able to see all of the recently liked songs over there. I know it's not a proper solution but there's nothing we can do about it, I guess it comes with such a great music platform! And don't worry if it's causing discomfort to a lot of people the option would be back soon enough!!
Cheers!!!

My Question or Issue
Until the past week or so, when you click on something in your Recently Played list, it would take you to what you actually have saved. For example, if I had listed to an artist I had saved, then clicked on that artist in Recently Played, it would take me to my list of songs I had saved for that artist. Now, if I click on that artist in my recently played list, it takes me to Spotifies page for that artist. It was esentially a shortcut that is no longer there. Now, I have to take additional steps to get back to what I was listening to. This kind of defeats the whole purpose of Rently Played. Was this intentional? If so, it needs to be changed back. You took away very useful functionality. If it is a bug, please fix!
Hey there @jason3916,
thanks for posting in the community !
I happend to use iPhone 6S and i've just checked the issue you mentioned on my Spotify account.
When i click on anything on the recently played it opens up the album/songs/artist/playlist as it should and not to the artist page as you say.
Please make sure your device is updated and that your Spotify app is updated as well.
It'll be a good idea to maybe reinstall to see if it helps.
Let me know how it goes 😃
Nope, that does not work. I deleted the Spotify app and reinstalled it. I also made sure I had the latest IOS. If I go to My Library > Artists, click on an Artist and play a song, that artist now shows in my Recently Played. If I then select that artist in my Recently Played, it does not take me to my list of saved songs for that artist. It takes me to Spotifies page for that Artist. This is exactly as I previoiusly described. They need to change this back.
I've worked in the software industry my whole adult life. You do not take functionality away that your users make use of and enjoy, and you most definitely DO NOT add additional steps to something the user has become accustomed to doing. Spotify is an app for users to find and listen to their music of choice. Simple as that. Don't make it more difficult for them to do that.

My Question or Issue
My recently played tab used to link directly to my downloads page, when now it instead links to the (data/wifi required) artists page. As I want to save data this is more than annoying. I’ve tried switching online mode on/off, wifi/cellular on/off too. Also tried clearing this recent tab, updating Spotify and IOS, help?
This is a very frustrating update, it makes no logical sense to go to the artist page. I hope Spotify recognizes this and changes it back or gives up the option.
