Shortened playlists on free account

My Question or Issue

I started using Spotify a week ago, and some of the premium features worked (unlimited skips, disabling shuffle) even though my account doesn't have a subscription. They stopped working a day ago. I noticed that some of the playlists without a "shuffle" symbol next to them were shortened. For example, the Lo-Fi Beats playlist was shortened from 16 hours down to 2 hours. Is this supposed to happen on a free account, or am I the only one?
