Shuffle on Carplay

I'm a non premium user and for some reason the playlists wont start in shuffle mode, it will only play the songs in the order added to the playlist which is annoying!

if i get out my phone and hit shuffle then connect it up to carplay (Mercedes) it will shuffle no problem, but if I switch playlist on carplay it will revert back to playing them in oldest to newest order. I am pretty sure the previous update shuffled playlists no problem but I may be wrong.

Hey.

When using premium on a mobile device, you can't choose which tracks to listen to (it's forced to shuffle play). If I am correct, CarPlay is ran by your phone, so it would probably be forced to shuffle, right? Double-check and restart it and whatnot.

Turns out the new Spotify app update has broken the playlist shuffle on Apple CarPlay, the songs will only play in order which is a pain. Now if you play it through the phone itself tracks will shuffle no problem.
