Solution for local files not transferring to iPod/iPhone playlists

Thought I'd post this in case others have had the problem.

Problem -- a playlist consists only of local files on the desktop computer (album is not available on Spotify).  The playlist shows up and plays fine on the desktop version of Spotify.  I want to sync that playlist to my iPod using the prescribed method of connecting the iPod to the computer.  When I do that, the playlist shows as empty on the iPod, so I can't sync it.

Solution -- this is a workaround for an obviousl glitch, but what I did was to add a "dummy" track to the playlist, a track that is available on Spotify.  Then the playlist no longer shows as empty on the iPod, and I can save the whole playlist offline on the iPod.  Then the dummy track can be deleted.

I don't know why this worked, but it did.

Interesting... good to know there's a workaround a least.  I was planning to make some local only playlists myself.
