Songs won't play

Hello,

I have an odd problem on my iPhone5 using premium spotify with headphones. Often after a track or playlist has finished all sounds on the entire phone shuts down. At the next track spotify simply doesn't play and if I try to play anything else with sound (youtube video,  podcast, or itunes), nothing happens and they also just sit there. 

The only solution I have found so far is to restore the phone from back up, which usually only lasts until I have used spotify a few times and the same thing happens. 

Yes, the switch is in the right place, volume is up and so forth. Any help is greatly appreciated.
