Sound stops every 4-5 songs

Every 4-5 songs, the play bar continues moving and the timer continues counting, but Spotify doesn't play any sound. I tried restarting, reinstalling, etc..., and nothing. As soon as I switch to a new song or pull the cursor on the play bar back to the beginning, it immediately starts playing again. I looked on the forums and nobody seems to have a good answer to this. 

It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying when you set up a playlist for a party and instead of crossfading seamlessly, there's an awkward moment of silence while somebody runs over to the iPad.

Has anybody else had this problem? Any suggestions or workarounds?

iOS 8

Spotify 0.9.15

It started to do this today on my iPhone after I imported some local files for an album not available on Spotify (from my laptop). I logged out and back in, restarted my phone etc but the problem persists. I don't want to reinstall because I have a lot of offline albums.
