Spotify AI DJ crashing after 3 shuffles

Solved!

Spotify AI DJ crashing after 3 shuffles

Hi! I'm having an issue with the new DJ feature

It will only play the same 3 songs, always in the same order. I hit DJ, it plays mitski. I hit it again, veruca salt. One more time, marina. This is where it crashes. It always plays the same 3 songs, and crashes on the last one.

It may have something to do with the fact that I'm canadian, I'm not 100% sure if the feature is meant to be rolled out here yet? I didn't have DJ on my home page, I had to search for it and click it. Has this been happening to anyone else?

Tried uninstalling / reinstalling app, logging in/out, turning off phone etc.

Hey @iloveairbud2006,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

The DJ feature is a new function available for users in the US and Canada, so you should have no problem using it. Usually, this type of issue could be related to some damaged cache stored on your device from previous updates. We understand you’ve already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article

If so and the issue persists, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

Lastly, to continue investigating this case, include in your next response the  Spotify version you're currently running.

We'll be on the lookout.

Hi Oscar,

Weirdly enough, it seems like the April fools' day update solved the issue. I'm not sure why. But it's solved!

Thanks for your help
