Spotify Premium - says I'm out of space for offline sync but there is still room left on iPhone

I'm a Spotify Premium user, and have been able to sync all of my playlists to offline mode previously. Recently when I open Spotify on my computer, it says 12.9 GB used on iPhone, 0.00 remaining. There is plenty of space left on my iPhone, is there a limit on how many tracks Spotify will sync to iPhone?

It will only allow you to sync 3,333 offline tracks to a single device, it is possible you have synched more than that? 

How much free space is left on the device exactly? Spotify will stop synching when there is less than 500MB(ish) of space left.

There is currently 4.67 GB available on my iPhone, and I have just over 500 tracks currently synced (about half my playlists). Until a few days ago I was able to sync all of my playlists offline without any problems, it has just now started saying 'pending' and I had to switch half of my playlists off of offline mode.

Are you synching them from the desktop client or just via the application? 

Also, are any of the tracks in those playlists local files stored on your computer?

I'm syncing them wirelessly through the app on my iPhone. There are a few (5-10?) tracks in there that are from my personal library on my computer. When I open the spotify desktop client it shows all of my spotify playlists and itunes playists, but I have it set to sync manually and only have the spotify playlists selected.

What was the problem? I'm having this issue

I had a software update ready to be installed which prevented any syncing.. some months ago, while having a similar issue, just reinstalling spotify helped me.
