Spotify activ on background - still consumes battery - iOS8

Hi together,

I thought it the hole time, but with the new feature in iOS8 I think it's true.

Spotify drains so much battery power on my device, even if it's not used!

I noticed that spotify is still active in background after I stopped the music hours ago.

There is everytime still the cover and musiccontroll in my lockscreen after I stopped my music (for a really long time).

My workaround... I close spotify manual over the multitasking page, but this is not an answer for me. 😞

I really like to listen to my music over night and I'm using a sleeptimer app to mute spotify after 15 minutes.

At the next morning my phone lost so much battery power.

Over day I have this, too.

Listen over spotify and let it alone for a while.

Same effect.

Has anyone the same problem?

I have the same problem, iPhone 5s with iOS8. 
I've tried it already with a clean install of iOS8, but the same problem occured. 

I'm using a linked Facebook-account for Spotify, just in case this could matter.

This morning i listened to music for about 30 minutes, it was a playlist with songs, that are already saved to iPhone, so no mobile network usage, my Battery dropped down to 90% (thats normal, we have a bad mobile network along the route of the train I use). Now I'm in my office and the Battery dropped down to 80% within 45 minutes without using my iPhone, Spotify is the highest consumer with over 40% of battery usage.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon!

Hm... I'm using offline playlists too.

Also, I'm listen to music that didn't exists on spotify (I sync local files from my pc).

- iPhone 5 ( iOS8 )

- Spotify Premium
