I downloaded the latest Spotify update yesterday and the problem has been resolved! Hooray! I hope the latest update solved the problem for all of you as well.
Thanks Spotify!

Does adding any track cause the crash or is it just with a particular track? You're not hitting the 3,333 offline tracks per device limit are you?
It could be worth recreating the playlist in the desktop client by copying all the tracks into a new empty playlist then deleting the original to see if that helps.
It's basic but can you try reinstalling the Spotify app? All your playlists will be there waiting for you afterwards, don't worry.
I'm having the exact same issue. I just subscribed to Spotitfy Premium and installed the app on my Retina iPad. Approximatly 3 out of 5 songs that I add to any playlist (online or off) will crash the app. My biggest playlist is around 70 songs and I have 12 songs offline in one of my other 4 playlists. Not sure what to do. The app works perfectly on my iPhone, Windows8 PC and my Samsung TV.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
Brian
Hey guys 🙂
For technical support issues such as this you are almost always better to get in touch with the Spotify team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to investigate your account further.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Same issue here. iOS 6.1.3. Spotify app crashes whenever I add a track (any track) to an existing playlist, or create a new playlist from an album. Started recently, like within the last few weeks.
