Spotify crashing only while locked or off spotify

Iphone XS Max

IOS: 13.5.1 

Spotify Version: 8.6.80.1180

Spotify keeps consistently crashing every song in a specific playlist i try to play about 30 seconds in and when i open the app again it is restarted to the beginning of the song. I was just using apple car play and it worked fine but now its practically unusable for that playlist. It only works if im constantly on spotify having the app open or else it would crash.

I've already done 2 clean installs with force reatarts after each delete, i cleaned up all my apps and cleared all my caches. And signed all out and relogged on my phone. Nothing worked.

Same experience - this is the first release I've had a problem with - renders Spotify useless at the gym, on the go

This should be fixed by now. If you're still experiencing this, make sure to run a clean reinstall of the app.
