Spotify for iPad doesn't pause music with navigation direction

I'm using spotify with navigon on my iPad mini, keeping spotify in background and navigon in foreground.
When navigon speaks driving direction (take left in 100 m) this happens:
- music pauses (.1 seconds)
- music resumes
- navigon "speaks" but with the music full volume in background - so can't understand
- music pauses (.1 seconds)
- music resumes
I expect the music to lower volume (without interruption), hear the driving directions full volume, then the music regains volume.
It's really annoying so please fix this.
I tested with the music app also and it doesn't happen (music lowers volume, I hear the driving directions in full volume, then music regains full volume).
