Spotify in Audi does not show track list on MMI, but Apple Music does

I'm able to play Spotify via Bluetooth on my 2017 Audi A4 (I don't have Carplay). The current playing song is displayed on the MMI, I'm able to pause, play previous and next songs. What I can't do is diplay the playlist or album tracklist on the MMI (and select another song). I thought this just wasn't possible via bluetooth.

When I tried Apple music, I was was amazed I was able to show the tracklist of the album or playlist on the MMI. I'm also able to browse all playlists and albums and select songs on the MMI.

For me, this is a reason to switch to Apple Music.

Does anyone know if Spotify is going to support this feature?

i have the same problem in my mazda, i can't see the name of the artist or the song in the car screen and i neither can change the song using the buttons of the car. This problem started when i downloaded the IOS 11.0.3. and i can't fix it!

It was playing well before iOS update but after I upgraded to 11.0.3 it does not show track info on my MMI screen 😞

Hello! A few days ago, I download IOS 11.1 and it’s been working fine. I hope it will be a definitive solution

I'm having the same issue on my android LG G6 in both my 2017 Audi A4 and my wife's 2017 Mazda CX-5.

Even my wife's iPhone 6 has the same problem on her Mazda. Come on Spotify, this is a must!

I have the same problem on Android on Note 8. Can Spotify implement it? As I remember it was working on older VW media system.

Google Play Music shows playlist.
