I have the same problems with my VW RNS510 with Media IN Ipod Connection.
Few Weeks ago it stops when i click on the next track. Today it play the music but i cannot click on the next song. If i do that i hear the next track sound but it try to move forward the song.
I hope you will fix this problem or i need to cancel my premium subscription because i cannot use it in my car.
I have an 08 VW Jetta GLI with iPod adapter in it. I plug my iPhone into the dock in my center console to play music. Spotify has been wonderful, but recently (past two weeks) theres something funky going on.
The error started as the "next song" jingle, playing repeatedly every 2-3 seconds during the song streaming, and would be fixed by undocking iPhone, quitting the app, and restarting the app. When that started to not work, it would fix by restarting the iPhone.
Now the problem has gotten worse again. Now when I plug it into the iPod dock, it will play fine, but after about 15-20 seconds of playback, it will pause, make very low-lying empty scratchy connection noises, then make the "next song" jingle, and play the song through my iPhone speakers. It's retarded. It's like it's getting confused about what speakers to play the music out of, but I don't understand why docking and undocking would do that.
To me, it just sounds like a coding error. Something simple in the audio output code that transfers streamed music to the "selected" speakers. I'm sure it's something simple to fix, and hopefully I described the issue well enough to find the exact code source. I would really appreciate it if you guys fixed this and sent out an update! Thanks 🙂

*Correction*
It fixes itself by undocking and redocking, but only sometimes, mainly when i put it in really fast and hard. This equates to me having to consistently be docking and undocking while I'm driving and makes for a very annoying drive/song listening experience
I had the same issue just this afternoon. I turned off bluetooth on my phone until it showed disconnected from the car, and then turned blue tooth back on - resynching the connection. The tracks were able to move and show the next track info on my display
