Spotify is killing my wifi connection on iPad

Hello,

recently I'm experiencing a strange issue - when I'm playing Spotify on my iPad, the rest of the iPad apps get a fatally slow internet connection - for example it renders Hangouts and Messenger unusable. I have even switched to Normal quality from High, that helped a bit but it's still not a definitive solution because the problem still persists.

I got a 50/50 Mbps connection so that cannot be a problem. I'm playing via bluetooth on my Denon Envaya with aptX and I got a iPad mini 2nd gen.

This problem does not happen on my LG G2 nor my computer, just the iPad.

I have reciently noticed that when I open spotify on my iphone and it is connected to my home wifi it kills the entire wifi network. This observed with a constant ping I have running on my Macbook. As soon as I kill the spotify app on the iphone or disconnect the iohone from the wifi network, the ping responces start.

Is anyone from spotify going to comment on this behavour? 

Also worth noting; it doesn't matter if I choose 2.4GHz or 5GHz network for the iphone, it kills the wifi. Also, I'm running a Airport Express for the wifi radio.

I have noticed the same issue. It happens with all my iOS devices. All devices are up todate.

For example, when I launch Spotify on my iPhone all other devices on my network can't access internet. Eventually the connect resumes but is very unstable and connection dies intermittanly.

This makes Spotify Connect useless as my PS3 would have no internet connection.

I have the same problem on my macbook air, spotify via bluetooth speaker kills the network. Have anyone found a solution?
