Spotify keeps finding another device, and someone else's music begins in the middle of listening

Spotify keeps finding another device, and someone else's music begins in the middle of listening

I am concerned my Spotify account has been hacked in some way?  When I am listening/streaming music, my Spotify (both on my Iphone or Macbook) will display a message that says 'Now listening on [some device that isn't mine]' and a new playlist with someone else's music will begin playing.  This happens constantly and interrupts my listening.

Hey, welcome to the community!

It sounds like somebody broke into your account. You have to click Sign Out everywhere here, and change your password(s) as soon as possible. Let me know if the issue still persists after following these steps. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this must've caused, good luck! 🙂

same issue, the device is not on my list. I have already cleared/dropped all my devices as well as changed the password to my linked fb account. after restarting and logging in this pc device plays music off it.

Hey @lamy29! Welcome to the community!

That doesn't sound right! I think you should contact someone from Spotify. You can contact them here. Someone will get back to you within 48 hours.

Have a nice day and keep rockin'! 🙂
