Spotify on iPhone won't Scrobble anymore

I've double checked all my settings on Spotify on the iPhone, and it doesn't Scobble to Last.fm anymore.  The desktop version works fine with the same Spotify and Last.fm accounts, but the iPhone doesn't work.  There's no error messages or anything, just that the Scrobbles never appear.

Is anyone else having the same problem?  Can anyone suggest anything I might be doing wrong?

Been using Last.fm on the iPhone for ages and its okay, check your username and password again and re-enter. If not log out and login into the app again and repeat the steps again.

And when playing the songs, just head to your last.fm profile page and monitor the scrobbles.

Have you guys tried reinstalling the app to see if it works? (Log out of the app, go to settings, general and usage and remove the app and download from the app store again)

There were some issues a few days ago on last.fm but these should now be fixed. Are you still having this problem while using spotify in online mode?

This has been going on for months with no change.  I assumed they had just disabled the feature and not bothered to remove the settings, but today thought I should bother to see if it is actually intentional.

If it's not too much trouble, try changing your last.fm password then re-enter the login details. The problems at last.fm have been going on for some time on and off but it should be working now.

I've already tried that a few times, as have I tried retyping in my user name, and switching scrobbling on and off.  I should also point out that it is working fine from the desktop version of Spotify, just not on the iPhone, and I've never had any problems with Last.fm on the desktop version.

I'm having exactly the same problem as Singletoned, Spotify scrobbles just fine in the desktop version but it doesn't scrobble in the mobile version. I've tried everything, changing password, reinstalling the app, downloading the scrobbler app for iOs, etc. but NOTHING works.

 

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

No, I hadn't tried this.  I just tried it and yes it fixed it for me.  Thanks!

It work for me too!! Thank you soooo much. I had had this problems for months, and now it's fixed. :DDD

I know it seems like a simple solution and thank you for forcing me try this, however it really is disappointing that it requires a uninstall / reinstall to fix the issue.

 

It's the sort of fix that gives us in IT a bad name "have you tried turning it off and back on again?" 🙂

Reinstalling the app also means that I have to sync all 3000 songs to offline mode again. And if I was sure it would work, then it would be worth the trouble.

I've got the same problem for months already with the ipad app. Only thing that helps is to reinstall but the next time i want to use the app it's the same problem all over again. Has there been found a more longterm solution already?

This is a recurring isse for me - I can get scrobbling working for a bit, but then it'll just stop. I have no idea what the cause is.

Lots of posts on this thread from 2014/15, but this is not working for me.  Tried all of the suggestions.  None Work

 

Same here. Almost at the point of just giving up and uninstalling both permanently.

I had this problem and re-installing the app worked for me thanks!
