Spotify storage expands on iPhone even when no downloading songs

Spotify storage expands on iPhone even when no downloading songs

From a WiFi guy:  If I don't download any songs on my iPhone, and only create playlists and save certain albums in full and follow certain artists, why does Spotify app gobble up more storage on my iPhone?  Wouldn't need for more storage arise only if I was downloading songs?   To manage limited storage space on my phone,I have to rely exclusively on WiFi to listen to Spotify....This doesn't make sense to me, please explain!

Hey @stevegan,

Some others have had this problem in the past, and they said that leaving the app open for 5 minutes or longer and then qutting the app via Multitask (double click home button) restored quite a bit of space. However, if this doesn't work, the safest way to deal with this is to go to Settings in iOS>General>Usage. Then find Spotify in the list of apps, click on it, and press delete and confirm. After that, you can reinstall it and your space will for sure be cleaned up.

I hope this helped! Let me know where you're at.
